The Texas State Taekwondo Association (TSTA) proudly serves as the official state governing body for Taekwondo in Texas, under the guidance and affiliation of USA Taekwondo (USAT). As a nonprofit organization, we are committed to the advancement of Taekwondo as both a competitive sport and a lifelong discipline that fosters respect, integrity, and community involvement.

Our mission is to promote the values of Taekwondo throughout the state by creating accessible and inclusive opportunities for athletes, coaches, referees, and families. We believe that Taekwondo is more than just a sport—it is a pathway for personal growth, physical health, cultural enrichment, and leadership development.

What We Do

• Annual Texas State Championship
  Each year, TSTA hosts the official Texas State Taekwondo Championship, which serves as a qualifying event for athletes seeking to compete at the USA Taekwondo National Championships. This event brings together practitioners from across the state, showcasing the talent and dedication of our diverse Taekwondo community.

• Opportunities for All
  We are dedicated to providing competitive and developmental opportunities for individuals of all ages and ability levels—from beginners discovering the sport for the first time to elite athletes training for national and international competition. TSTA fosters a welcoming environment where everyone can grow and succeed.

• Texas State Team Trials & Training
  TSTA organizes and oversees the Texas State Team selection process through our State Team Trials. Selected athletes receive advanced training, mentorship, and preparation to represent Texas on the national and international stage, embodying the spirit and excellence of our community.

• Support & Sponsorship
  We are proud to sponsor our Texas State Team athletes as they compete at prestigious National and International events. This support is a cornerstone of our commitment to excellence, ensuring that talented athletes have the resources they need to achieve their goals and bring pride to our state.

• Technical Education & Certification
  In collaboration with certified experts and national officials, TSTA offers ongoing education and technical training programs for referees, coaches, and athletes. These programs are designed to uphold the highest standards of fairness, safety, and professionalism in every aspect of Taekwondo practice.
